As one may discover, Milkshrooms give off a wonderful taste when filled with milk, similar to beef. The texture, ive found, is not the same, but it is a wonder how such mushrooms produce milk in the first place.

Claim 3 (habitat)

Milkshrooms are indeed an oddity; a fungus with meat-flavored milk! However, that might be due to where this species is usually found. Despite its relatively demur appearance and harmless coloring, Milkshrooms are a deadly parasite that can only be found on cattle and other similar bovines. Farmers and other animal caretakers must always be on the lookout for this mushrooms, for all it takes it one to establish a deep enough root system within the animal and it will be impossible to remove. If it is not caught soon enough, its spores will spread to the rest of the herd and it will not just be one animal that needs to be given a merciful death.

Page 5. Possible Applications:

The milk-like substance the mushroom produces does seem to be edible. Tests also indicate that it is very high minerals and fats, making for an ideal shroom for serve to young Sprouts to keep them healthy. Unfortunately this mushroom seems to have a limited season during which they grow and the ‘milk’ obtained from them changes drastically in taste and texture after only a few days. The edibility of the strange substance produced by aging the milk has yet to be investigated.

Keeping the liquid cold does seem to keep it pleasant for a bit longer but other methods of preservation will need to be reserched if this discovery is to be of any real use to the community.

-Milky excretion tastes like somewhat sweeter than expected
