This article explains bond-specific terms, forming a union between pets, breaking a union between pets, adopting a child, and removing a child.

Geness - A linked group of platonic or romantic equal partners whose destinies intertwine
Mihlanaku -An act of prolonged contact between the foreheads of two individuals who are platonic or romantic partners; this act creates or adds to a geness
Kinnen - A ritual of “adopting” a child through an act of prolonged contact between the paw(s) of the guardian Mycenian(s) to the forehead of their charge

One pet bond: A pet can form a bond with themselves. You’d do this if you wanted the pet to have a geness page of their own or wanted the pet to adopt a child. Head to the Sacred Tree. At the bottom of the page under Propose Mihlanaku, you can select your pet and have them propose to themselves. The pet you select to propose to must not already be in a bond. This has no cost associated with it.
Two pet bond: Head to the Sacred Tree. At the bottom of the page under Propose Mihlanaku, you can select your pet and have them propose to another. The pet you select to propose to must not already be in a bond. This has no cost associated with it.
Multi-pet bond: Start by forming a two pet bond at the Sacred Tree. After that, head back to the Sacred Tree. Again, under Propose Mihlanaku in the “Who should propose?” section, scroll to the bottom where your genesses are displayed. Select the relevent geness. Under the “To whom” selection, select the pet to whom the geness is proposing. The cost is n - 2 gems, n being the final size of the geness (e.g. forming a geness of 3 is 1 gem. Adding another member to make it a geness of 4 would be 2 additional gems).

In all geness bond breaking procedures, you will need at least one Lone Mushroom. Lone Mushrooms are located in Fungimental Magic (cost is 20,000 nuggets).
One pet bond: Purchase a Lone Mushroom and feed it to your pet. The geness will be broken. Note that this destroys the geness page and invalidates the geness ID. This works regardless of whether the pet has children or not. If the pet is a parent, the children will also be broken off from the geness when you feed the parent the Lone Mushroom.
Two pet bond with no children: Purchase a Lone Mushroom and feed it to one of the pets. The geness will be broken. Note that this destroys the geness page and invalidates the geness ID.
Two pet bond with children: Feeding a Lone Mushroom to one of the parents will break that parent off of the geness and the children attached to that geness. The other parent will remain in a one-parent geness with the children still attached. The geness can be dissolved completely by feeding the other parent a Lone Mushroom as well. The geness will be broken and the children will no longer be attached. Note that this destroys the geness page and invalidates the geness ID.
Multi-pet bond with no children: If you want to dissolve the geness completely, you’ll need to feed each pet a Lone Mushroom to break each pet off of the geness. You will only need one mushroom between the last two pets in the geness. Note that this destroys the geness page and invalidates the geness ID.
Multi-pet bond with children: If you want to dissolve the geness completely, you’ll need to feed each pet a Lone Mushroom to break each pet off of the geness. The children will remain attached to the geness and any of the pets who remain in the geness. Once a Lone Mushroom is fed to the last pet in the geness, the geness and attachment to the children are dissolved. Note that this destroys the geness page and invalidates the geness ID.

To adopt a child, head to the Sacred Tree and scroll to the bottom. Under Propose Kinnen, select the parent geness and the child subsequently. Note that a geness must propose to the child and not the other way around, and only genesses may adopt children. Adopting a child costs 3 gems.

In parent-child bond breaking procedures, you will need a Mushroom of Forgetting. They are located in Fungimental Magic (cost is 20,000 nuggets).
To break a child from its parent geness, feed the child a Mushroom of Forgetting. Note that only adult-stage children are able to consume the Mushroom of Forgetting.
