Lights - Same Sea
And when the currents take us out again to opposite oceans
Out of the hands of safety
From the shallow to the deepest end
Places we break and bend
You’re the one in it with me
No matter how far we get
Oceans we are in, still connect
And when the currents circle back again
They’ll carry us with them to the arms of the same sea
Agave to Luvinie
Luvinie was striking, a heavy presence wherever she lingered, and Agave could see why others avoided her. Someone that weighed the atmosphere down around her and constantly dragged it at her heels was intimidating, to say the least. It didn’t help that Luvinie regularly accosted others and displayed her lone wolf attitude prominently on her sleeve. This was perhaps why Agave felt drawn to the ice witch. No one, Agave found, reached out with gentility and softness around her sharp edges. She was resilient, and even when faced with the sting of words cutting deep, the healer endured, and whispered the mantra tomorrow is another day. Agave saw changes in the guard when she least expected it; longer conversations, lingering companionship, the occasional tug of a smile underlying an otherwise severe expression. These moments made her heart flutter in their successes, the sensation stirring greater fondness with their frequency. This was enough for Agave, to know that she could make even one person feel less alone in a world that strove to alienate their kind. She wouldn’t have expected something more to grow between them, constantly dancing around each other in awkward displays of affection insisting that there was little more than friendship. It took time for the two to admit their honest feelings, but once they had, the two were inseparable. Agave marveled at the warmth that Luvinie possessed, taking refuge in her strength and leaning on her for guidance. Luvinie bolstered confidence and independence in the healer, who in turn offered Luvinie understanding and forgiveness. Now there is no one else Agave trusts more than Luvinie, the person who allowed her to feel at home once again.
Luvinie to Agave
For the longest time, Luvinie was convinced that some wounds were never to heal. Harshness and intimidation were the tools the woman used to keep anyone else at bay, not wanting to add to her collection of scars. Her reserved attitude came with her into Vivere, warding off anyone who made effort to associate with her. All but one. Her words as cold and painful as her magic did nothing to deter Agave away. Luvinie’s resistance to the healer’s help only gave opportunity for her to linger. These times allowed them to become well acquainted with each other, despite the stubborn front the ice witch put up. However, the shield she put around herself began to melt away with time, and she eventually found herself fond of Agave’s company. Although she knows some scars will never fade, she’s learned that anything can be mended.
