Welcome to the fourth Mycena Cave Secret Santa! It’s described fairly well on the intro page, so without further ado, I’ll plop the link here:

In order to participate in this Secret Santa, your account has to have been created at least one month before this announcement. That is to say, you must have created your account before October 23rd to be eligible. If your account is more recent than this, we hope to see you in next year’s Secret Santa :)

December 1st at 23:59 server time: Signup deadline! No exceptions!
Sometime on December 2: Santas will be paired with their Santa’ees
On or before December 8: Establish contact with your Santa and Santa’ee via SantaMail
On or before December 24: Your Santa’ee should have received their present.
On or before January 7: Hard deadline. Your Santa’ee must have received their present (or proof of shipment).

If both you and your Santa are okay with it, your Santa can mail you a physical present! Santa’ees who do not wish to give out their name and/or address (or who would simply prefer a digital present) may select a “digital presents only” option. If you’re a Santa and you want to send someone a physical present, we’ll do our best to match you with someone who has not selected this option, but of course we can’t guarantee it.

cross sadly we can’t take official address / location changes after the deadline. If your santa wants to send you a physical gift, you can always coordinate via santa-mail though :)

Hi glitch! Can we send gift pets to the bone monster to send along again this year? if so, like… what were we supposed to do? put the username in the trade title?

My Santa recipient pushed the button received a gift? I don’t know how to send him a gift in the form of pet, what do I do?

If you would like to send someone a pet as a gift, you can do so by sending to the Bone Monster in a trade and putting the intended recepient’s username in the title. The Bone Monster will be certain to pass it along.

If your santa-ee accidentally pressed the button before they received their gift, I wouldn’t worry about it! As you are now planning to send them a gift, everything should be fulfilled as required by the rules of the event. They are more than welcome to approach us, though, if there is anything we need to address after the deadline for gifting has passed.

There is now a “preview” button in Santa-mail, in case you want to preview any bbcode messages :)

Madara You should definitely check in with your Santa’ee on or before Dec 8th.  Your Santa should be the one to contact you, but given that it is close to the contact deadline, I would go ahead and give your Santa a poke to remind them of the check-in date!
